Safety and The Environment

Continuous Improvement

We strive to continuously improve our safety and environmental performance, and to be an inclusive, committed and supportive member of the communities in which we operate.

Our Commitment to Safety

Conventional welding, by its very nature, poses numerous occupational health and safety risks. K-TIG mitigates these risks through automation and greatly reduced welding times.

Our Commitment to the Environment

At K-TIG, we are thoroughly committed to reducing the energy consumption and carbon footprint of fabrication. Industrial fabrication and the welding process in particular, is a highly energy intensive process involving the consumption of large quantities of gas, electricity and consumables.

K-TIG mitigates against high energy consumption by consuming as little as 5% of the energy and gas consumed by TIG/GTAW for the same weld, dramatically reducing the carbon footprint of our customers and significantly improving their sustainability.

For example, a 3-meter TIG weld in 16mm titanium will consume approximately 14,900 litres of welding grade argon gas. The same tig welding action performed by K-TIG will consume approximately 720 litres.
