CUSTOMISED PACKAGES
The K-TIG process is applicable to a vast array of applications. In some situations the torch is stationary, in others the torch may be moved along a linear track or revolved around a large tank. It could also be mounted on a robotic manipulator. Similarly, systems can have different control requirements, such as AVC, seam-tracking, multi-pass features with weaving, or back-purge pressure control.
K-TIG is dedicated to offering practical solutions, hence we begin with a standard package, however that is only the starting point. Our clear intention is to customise a solution for your application. Some of this may be hardware, but a significant portion will be in the software so that, whatever your application, we will be seeking to deliver turnkey operation.
In light of the above, it will be clear that some applications require less customisation than others. Our standard package is directed towards long or continuous welding where start and stop requirements are not a particular issue. The most obvious example would be a pipe mill. Indeed one of the first commercial applications were for welding stainless steel spiral pipe. Other early applications were for joining large stainless steel and titanium sheets.
However, adapting systems to rotated work (such as pressure vessels and pipe spooling) is a common request for K-TIG. Of course there will be applications that will test us, but we are ready for those challenges. If you are intending to use this process then contact us.
The best results are always achieved when we work together to address your requirements. Simply contact K-TIG to discuss your particular requirements and our team can customise the right solution.
